Problem with PHP versions on admin

Hello people,

turns out i had to switch my domain to a PHP5.6 version on the server.
Problem is... Ionize (1.0.7) doesn't work anymore since then.

I mean... The website front-end appears just fine.
But I can't login the admin anymore. Can't even access the login page and I get a popup error saying :
"magic_quotes_gpc disabled"
Weird stuff though... Because as far as I remember, I disabled magic_quotes way before that coz' it didn't work fine with the blog pages.
And when it was disabled, I had absolutely no problem to log...

Tried it out with a brand new website under PHP5.6 (which natively doesn't have magic_quotes since it's deprecated)
The only thing I had to do to make it work was to change de system/core/Common.php and change de line 244 from "return $_config[0] =& $config;" to "$_config[0] =& $config; return $_config[0];" and it worked like a charm.
So I was thinking "why not trying with my website as well ??" But of course, it didn't change a thing. Hahaha!

So obviously the problem isn't only about magic_quotes, but I guess something else is messing with it.
But I can't think about anything that could cause this problem...

So if someone has an idea about how to debug it, I'd be very thankful. ^^

Re: Problem with PHP versions on admin

Hmm, we had this type of error on PHP7 too, looks like PHP5.6 also does it.

Re: Problem with PHP versions on admin

Hi Adamos.
Well, I'm a bit worried by your answer... If you had this problem with a PHP7 version and that you're not telling more about it, I kinda guess that you haven't find any solution to deal with it, have you?
Thanks for the up anyway.
