media manager file_path / changing files location

hey, i'm delighted to use Ionize Cms and i've been trying to integrate it to my website... but i came about with a problem concerning images not rendering when i change the 'files' folder ....
-First i tried to change the files location by using the admin panel > advanced settings > media management  >media base folder ... everything seems ok , but then the thumbs are not showing as it's supposed to in the media manager and on the themes view... so 2nd i tried to tinker with config.ionize on the js plugin tiny browser ..and found that it's still named 'files/' .. .so i changed it to the folder name i want... but still no pictures or thumbs showing on the view ...

changing the 'files; folder name to a diffrent one is ok, and i can upload to it, but the pictures | thumbs are messed up, not showing on the tiny browser and on the view page. Anybody who can help me out ?
Thanks..looking forward to your help.

Re: media manager file_path / changing files location

Hey,

the thumbs are stored within /files/*/.thumbs*. On unix systems, they're invisible and left out by `cp` (due to the dot infront of the folder name). However, I'm not sure whether they're invisible on Windows systems as well. Have you moved those folders, too?

Re: media manager file_path / changing files location

thanks for the reply mario .. yes i have moved all the files too.... well here's my problem, after a fresh install of ionizecms,, i logged in  to admin>settings>advanced settings>media management and changed "media base folder" => files to fileupload folder .. then i transferred all the contents of the files to fileupload...
then i went back to admin>content>media manager the current folder is now changed to fileupload and the files are there. so i clicked on the picture element so the thumbnails would show... but the thumbnails are not showing , even the pictures are not showing on the views...

i think it's best explained by pictures

http://i51.tinypic.com/2144g1f.png  this is the working thumb using the default 'files' folder(fresh install)
http://i54.tinypic.com/vimxpc.jpg   changed files to newfile folder name
http://i55.tinypic.com/35d24bm.jpg a new directory has been made so i transfered all the contents of 'files' to 'newfile' and dleted the previous 'files' folder
http://i55.tinypic.com/f2rp07.png  this is now my new tree
http://i54.tinypic.com/11k9qid.jpg here's the problem,,, it clearly indicates that the folder is correct and it contains data but no thumbnails are showing  which also results to
http://i53.tinypic.com/qythfq.png this in the views menu...

thanks for the time looking into the problem mario.. i appreciate it .

Re: media manager file_path / changing files location

alright! thanks a lot mario..  the url of the thumbs seems to be workin right.. but the scripts are failing ... that's wat im looking into right now ..probably a url somewhere on the js code was not included in the media base change.

edit:
just want to bump this.. any idea what's causing this .. anyone -?
