Re: Ajax Or Flash Variables Request

In actionscript/flash i am using the command:
LoadVars('http://www.myionizesite.com/test.txt);

The content of test.txt is:
blueboxtitle=Benefits&blueboxtext1=The benefits of using our services are endless.

Flash Player when loads this txt, creates the variables blueboxtitle and blueboxtext1 inside movie so i can use them as dynamic text in a flash designed movie.

My question is how i can reproduce the same output of test.txt using ionize cms?

Practically i need  a way to display the raw output of  the controller without the view or theme.

I love ionize translation system and i want to integrate this wow translation system with all my site's flash content so i need to output some raw data that Flash Player understand smile

Thank you and appreciate all your help!

Re: Ajax Or Flash Variables Request

You need to write a module for this! You can check my sitemap module. you will see there a ".xml" output. Could be an example for your module!

Re: Ajax Or Flash Variables Request

If I correctly understand what you want to do, just creating a new "page view" should be enough :

Copy the "/themes/your_theme/page.php" to "/themes/your_themes/test.php".
Remove everything in "test.php" and add something like :

blueboxtitle=<ion:translation term="bluebox_title"/>&blueboxtext1=<ion:translation term="bluebox_title"/>

Activate the "test.php" page view ( http://doc.ionizecms.com/quickstart-ionize-in-4-steps ).

Create a new page with URL "test" using this view.
You may want to hide this page from navigation.

Use the http://www.myionizesite.com/test URL from Flash.

(The "bluebox_title" & "bluebox_title" should be automatically added & visible in the Ionize localization module).

I didn't test, so tell if there's something's wrong.

Re: Ajax Or Flash Variables Request

Well the solution of Hypee works just perfect. The only difference was that i had to pass in my flash the ionize's current language to call not the /test but the /en/test or /fr/test e.t.c. to let flash always use the current language.
Thank you Hypee!

Also thanks to my neighbor ukyo that presents an other way to do this. Ukyo you helped me to start develop my own modules and also i will use your modules in my site.

Thanks to both of you for your replies,

greetings from Greece
