I know its not final yet, but having started using it in anticipation for the final release I've noticed a few strange issues with some of the functionality (this is the ci2 version I was recommended to use in another thread):
Advanced settings: making any changes and clicking 'save settings' does nothing - page doesn't refresh and settings aren't saved.
Advanced settings > Tabs: tabs seem out of order compared to the content.
Example: Medias tab shows media and then Mimes tab shows the thumbnails options (bmp, jpeg etc) with the result that Thumbnails tab shows TinyMCE settings, Articles tab shows database Driver, host etc, Database tab shows website email settings, Email tab shows encryption key and System tab doesn't do anything.
I've tried this in Safari (Mac) and Chrome (Mac) - both show same problems.
Media manager: I've tried to upload images to both an existing default folder and a new folder and get an error message:
Error
Your session has expired. Please log in again.
I've tried relogging but get the same issue time and time again.

Hi, I don't have a local server, only the hosting package with that particular company.
Edit: I've tried it on Windows XP using Google Chrome and Firefox which got the same error as before.
Now, I also tried it on IE 8 and got:
Error
bugger! No or faulty JSON response!
undefined
Is that of any help?

Hi, just thought I'd let you know that the tabs now work and the upload issue works in all browsers apart from Google Chrome. I still get the same session error when trying to upload. Have cleared cache etc but same issue.
Offline
Still can't upload from any browser - same session expired notice.
Downloaded today, dropped all the tables in db, made clear install. What did I wrong?

I can confirm that the upload problem persists on the 0.9.7 release from the homepage download link - again only in Chrome.

The same issue here.
Firefox, Safari and Chrome give the same error:
"Your session has expired. Please log in again"

Just wanted to let you know that if you activate single file upload that works. The upload works just fine and you don't get the "Your session has expired. Please log in again" error.

^ This - I just turned my install to single upload only and it worked fine. Looks like its something to do with multiple upload settings.

Yes it is.

Hi,
I started having the same problem with the version 0.9.6. The bad part is that is on a live website and in that version there isn't the option of single file upload.
How about this bug? Any solutions yet?
Best regards,
Cristin

having same error on upload files and noting it's impossible to set fancyupload options in the admin panel to activate upload, i modified 2 vars in modules/fancyupload/config/config.php, in this way:
$config['fancyupload_active'] = '1';
$config['fancyupload_folder'] = '/correct/path/to/upload/folder/';
now it's all right!!!

@Michael is it possible to have a look at the problem together as you wrote before?
I uploaded 2 versions to 2 different servers. And in one of them i get the session error.
But the other 2 including localhost, everything seems fine. May it be a dependancy or php version related issue?

Hi @jnbn,
try to add this to your php.ini file and try again:
session.gc_maxlifetime = 36000If you don't have access to this file, contact to your hosting support.
36000 sec = 600 minute
P.S. If your hosting provider work with cPanel you can create this file and add this to your .htaccess:
SetEnv PHPRC /home/user/php.ini where /home/user/php.ini is the full path to your php.ini file.
If your hosting doesn't work with cPanel you need to restart apache server when change the php.ini.
Best regards
Milen

Thanks for your help but it has the same value with localhost and its 1440.
Also I checked all [Session] parameters and they're all same with my local php ini.
Any other suggestions?

What version of php use in localhost and the hosting.
I think the problem is the php version.
Best regards
