Re: What is your favorite editor? and What is your favorite browser ?

System: Ubuntu Linux - Wherever possible I try to us ONLY FOSS

Editor: NetBeans IDE (faster than Eclipse PDT) and it will work on both Windows and *nix systems

Files Comparison: It depends on what I'm doing. I generally use Meld Diff Viewer because the GUI is better than my favorite (Beyond Compare 2). The *nix version of Beyond Compare is not so good to look at but it is without doubt the best piece of software for file comparisons and well worth the small price.

Browser: Firefox and Opera

GFX: I used to use Photoshop but since I decided to only use FOSS products, I now use GIMP.

Other development tools: The  'Developer' plug-in for Firefox and also the Y-Slow plug-in.
I also heavily use Total Validator http://www.totalvalidator.com/ for checking rendered code for web standards compliance and accessibility.
I also use Tortoise SVN because it is simply the best graphical SVN tool available (both for Windows and for *nix systems) and I have a public bug reporting/workflow tool called Mantis

Re: What is your favorite editor? and What is your favorite browser ?

Textmate, Netbeans and Nano on terminal is enough for me on Mac Os X.
On Win.* Notepad++, Netbeans and E-Text editor.
